By Moon Cho

Korean barbecue dishes have become an international sensation, whether you are grilling beef, pork chicken or fish. "Bulgogi" is one of the more well known and very popular barbecue dishes. Adults and children both love this dish! Below is a simple recipe you can make in your own home where you can find all the ingredients in your local supermarket.

Ingredients:

* Rib eye meat (1 lbs. sliced paper thin in 3-4 inch diameter, ask your butcher to make them paper thin if you can not buy it that way) * Sake (1/2 cup) * Soy sauce (1/2 cup) * Sugar (2 tablespoons) * Sesame oil (2 tablespoons) * Garlic (4 cloves sliced) * Onion (1 medium sliced thinly into 2 inches) * Carrot (sliced very thinly into 3 inch thread pieces) * Red Lettuce (2 heads) * Black Pepper

Directions:

1) Pepper the rib eye. Next, make the marinade for the meat. In a small bowl, add sake, soy sauce, sugar, sesame oil, and garlic, and mix well so all the marinade is well integrated. Marinade meet for few hours or even over night is OK.

2) Grill the meat indoors or outdoors. Meat is so thin that it will grill quickly on each side, so it make take just 1 or 2 minutes to cook on each side. Do not leave the grill, as the meat cooks quickly. After all meat is grilled, place meat aside on a plate.

3) Next, grill the onions until they start to get golden brown but they are still crunchy.

4) For eating preparation, take one lettuce, place a piece of meat, some onion and carrots into the lettuce. Wrap lettuce around like a gift, and it is ready to eat.

Serve with rice on the side, or you can even place some of the rice into the lettuce with the meat and vegetables.
